We are utilising the STRYDE4 Corporate Challenge as an incredible platform to raise funds and demonstrate our support for The Humour Foundation, a national charity dedicated to providing joyful humour and insightful connection to hospitals across Australia through evidence-based humour therapy. Their flagship program, the Clown Doctors, is grounded in a simple premise: Bringing joy to children and young adults with life limiting illnesses.
It is an exceptionally meaningful cause, and its impact extends far beyond simply putting smiles on faces. The ability to create uplifting experiences in an environment characteristically devoid of laughter and joy provides shared moments of happiness and respite for parents, family and healthcare workers.
Our humour is one of the things that keep the Astrea team going. We want to do all we can to help bring joy to those who need it far more than we do.

Your support will fund 50 Clown Doctor visits to specialist clinics across Australia.
These one-hour sessions bring professional performers trained in healthcare clowning into high-stress environments - burns units, mental health wards, pathology labs, plastics and fracture clinics - where children and young people face daunting medical challenges.
The Clown Doctors use humour, empathy and play to reduce anxiety, build trust and offer emotional relief to young patients and their families. This is not entertainment - it’s targeted support that complements and enables effective clinical care.
